As 2024 comes to a close, we reflect on an extraordinary year of progress at MARC, Inc. of Manchester. Thanks to your support, we've made significant strides toward providing opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Here's a look at how we worked together to make a lasting impact!
Program Success
This year, our employment services achieved significant milestones across several programs. We proudly launched the Vocational Enhanced Transition (VET) Program, an intensive 16-week course that combines classroom learning with personalized, hands-on internships. Since its inception, eight students have successfully graduated from the VET Program, with many now pursuing employment opportunities or enrolling in Project Search.
Project Search, a nine-month internship program held entirely in the workplace, provides students with disabilities the chance to gain real-world experience in a supportive setting. This year, 10 students completed the program and successfully transitioned into employment across diverse fields, including libraries, child services, and the service industry. We are incredibly proud of the dedication and independence demonstrated by all of our participants throughout the year.
Fundraising Achievements
In 2024, we raised nearly $500,000 from all of our fundraisers and donations. Because of you, we are able to continue providing exceptional care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Captivating Stories

- Set a new fundraising record at the 2024 Golf Tournament.
- Attended the 2024 ARC National Convention.
- A group of individuals enjoyed an all-expenses-paid Disney Cruise.
- Launched the new MARC website.
- Jacob's library content went viral.
- Jassontae and Mike made CIAC headlines for their dedication to Manchester High School’s soccer teams.
