MARC, Inc. is dedicated to advocacy on the local, state, and national level.

MARC, Inc. champions for the rights and needs of people with disabilities by attending legislative sessions, offering testimony and collaborating with similar organizations to strengthen our collective voice in advocacy issues.

Voices For Change

Voices For Change is a self advocacy group whose goals are to learn about how the state of Connecticut will introduce more legislation for people with disabilities. Meetings are held on one Thursday every month for an hour in the Ann Mazur Senior Center and is advised by Peter Engelbrecht, Carolyn Stephens, and a handful of MARC staff members.

Ambassador Program

The Ambassador Program is a group of five individuals who apply to represent MARC. They travel with us to events and serve as the face of MARC, acting as liaisons between people served, staff, and administration. Ambassadors have opportunities to build self-confidence, become more outspoken, meet new people, advocate for what matters to them, and help shape the future of MARC.

Individuals will be selected soon, stay tuned for the announcement!
