As 2025 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on a year filled with impact, joy, and community. From meaningful mission moments to record-breaking events, it’s been an incredible year at MARC, Inc.
Mission Highlights:
•The Independent Living Center (ILC), an apartment located near MARC’s main office, provides hands-on daily living and assistive technology (AT) training to about 30 individuals each week.
• Our AT peer mentors, Jacob and Roy, proudly educated Governor Lamont and DDS Commissioners on how AT supports independence.
• Our Administrative Assistant, Mike, fulfilled a lifelong dream by sharing his voice on iHeartRadio.
• Two individuals served by MARC were selected to compete in the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games.
Community & Events:
• Volunteers came together to unload three tractor trailers of furniture donated by Bain Capital, with logistics coordinated by Bob’s Discount Furniture, helping furnish MARC residential homes.
• We celebrated our Project SEARCH program participants’ accomplishments with a graduation ceremony at Goodwin University, honoring the 6,026 hours they completed during their internships at Hartford Hospital and the dedication they’ve shown all year.
• Our Summer Concert Series brought the community together and raised $32,800! An impressive 24% increase over last year.
• Our Golf Tournament raised over $80,000, a 23% increase from last year, and celebrated Jacob’s historic appointment as the first individual from the IDD community to serve as a Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce Ambassador.
