MARC, Inc. of Manchester (MARC) was founded in 1952 by seven families who were working together to support their loved one with a disability. Our first home was in the basement of the Covenant Congregational Church in Manchester, CT. Today, we have our own spacious campus on Sheldon Road, provide five different types of services/multiple programs, manage eleven MARC residential homes and are continuing to expand.
MARC is a local chapter of The Arc, the largest national community-based organization advocating for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. MARC supports almost Three Hundred individuals from Twenty-Seven towns in the Greater Hartford area. We employ as many staff who are dedicated to providing the highest quality services to the individuals we serve.
Our mission is to provide the opportunity for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live meaningful lives of independence, choice, inclusion, and continuous personal growth.
